Filo Crinkle Pie

Love this recipe super simple but maximum flavor that warm bake to go nicely with a cup of coffee.

Ingredients:
1 pkt shimrit filo dough
125g browned butter
Custard
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 orange zest
1/2 tea spoon cinnamon
Syrup
100g water
100g sugar
3 cardamom pods
Peel of 1 orange
Method:
1. Take the dough and fold it along the sheet pan
2. bake in oven for 10-15mins 180c
3. take all ingredients for the custard and whisk together
4. brush pastry with brown butter and cook for a further 10 minutes
5. pour over custard and bake for another 15 mins or until custard is set
6. remove from oven and broth with hot syrup finish with chopped pistachios.
