Filo Crinkle Pie

Love this recipe super simple but maximum flavor that warm bake to go nicely with a cup of coffee.

Ingredients:

1 pkt shimrit filo dough

125g browned butter


Custard

4 eggs

2 cups milk

1/2 cup sugar

1 orange zest

1/2 tea spoon cinnamon


Syrup

100g water

100g sugar

3 cardamom pods

Peel of 1 orange


Method:

1. Take the dough and fold it along the sheet pan

2. ⁠bake in oven for 10-15mins 180c

3. ⁠take all ingredients for the custard and whisk together

4. ⁠brush pastry with brown butter and cook for a further 10 minutes

5. ⁠pour over custard and bake for another 15 mins or until custard is set

6. ⁠remove from oven and broth with hot syrup finish with chopped pistachios.
